GROWING YOUR OWN SUPER GREEN GUT GARDEN!

IT’S TIME TO PLANT YOUR

SUPER GREEN GUT GARDEN!

Growing your own vegetables can be fun and a great way to have an interest in the food you include in your families’ nutrition.

How often do you wish you could just run out to the garden and pull a handful of leafy greens for a fresh spring green smoothie, a sprightly LEAFY salad or a delightful dish of green leafys for your table?

There is never a better time to make your own veggie patch with many more families realizing the value of teaching their children healthy options for food and growing their own food.

It is a perfect time to get the greens in the garden so that you can then use them in 4-6 weeks with the benefit of the warm temperate climate.

Its not only fun to grow green leafy veges but the benefits of the fresh greens assist the growth of your GUT MICROBIOME!

Green leafy vegetables assist the flora in the gut and studies are proving the beneficial good bugs use these fuels to grow and flourish, thus supporting a healthy gut microbiome.

The finding published in “Nature and Science Daily1”  suggests that “leafy greens are essential for feeding good gut bacteria, limiting the ability of bad bacteria to colonize the gut by shutting them out of the prime ‘real estate’.  It goes on to describe how sulfur, an essential part of all living organisms found in leafy greens is needed for healthy conversion by E.Coli, naturally found in the gut, to maintain a good balance of healthy microbes in the gut.

Source the vege garden bed at your local hardware store, or make a raised bed out of soil and or recycled timber, make sure it is not sprayed with chemicals.

Self Wicking beds are great to save water and also if you go away for lengths of time. They basically water themselves when vegetables are established. Make sure you plant in a sunny area, and the soil is organic and good quality, check on your apps to choose the right crops to plant next to each other as some plants thrive with companion planting

Grab your own temperate climate list of vegetables to get ready to grow here and off you go![
